Affiliate Summit Conference 2009

One of the most important events in affiliate marketing industry is the Affiliate Summit Conference. Started in November 2003 at New York, the Affiliate Summit events had been a red letter day for majority of the people in the industry. Affiliate Summit was founded by Missy Ward and Shawn Collins for the purpose of providing educational sessions on the latest industry issues and fostering a productive networking environment for affiliate marketers.

 

This year’s first planned event is dubbed Affiliate Summit West 2009 which is taking place January 11-13, 2009 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Affiliate Summit West 2009 is on schedule to sell out by Monday, January 5, 2009, based on sales patterns of past Affiliate Summits. This time around, Affiliate Summit will feature the largest exhibit hall of all of the twelve Affiliate Summits, and a limited number of sponsorships are still available, though all exhibitor booths are sold out.

 

Majority of the attendees are from the affiliates group which makes the event a very attractive venue for advertisers to showcase their programs. The event would also be expecting the largest number of affiliate attendees compared to all of the past 11 conferences previously held. It is also a great opportunity to network with fellow affiliates, mechants, managers and network representatives.

 

The event would feature Speakers from the leading figures in the industry like: Larry Adams, Product Manager, Google; Bennet Kelley, Founder, Internet Law Center;   Lisa Crossley Hunter, Senior Director CJ Search, Commission Junction; Anik Singal, CEO, Affiliate Classroom; Linda Woods, President & CEO, PartnerCentric, Inc.;  and Melissa Salas, Director of Marketing, Buy.com.

 

Another highlight of the event is the third annual Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards which is affiliate marketing’s most prestigious, competitive honor for the leaders in the space. Award winners are recognized because they are innovative leaders with vision and influence.

 

Spicing up the event is the Affiliate Triathlon, a three event contest of skill, determination and dexterity which would feat the participants against fellow affiliates. The winning athlete (highest cumulative score across the three competitions) will be awarded the choice of a 10′ x 10′ exhibit hall booth (value: $5,195) or four Platinum Passes (value: $4,996) for Affiliate Summit East 2009 in New York City, taking place August 9-11, 2009. The entry fee for the Affiliate Triathlon is $100, which is donated directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation which is the official beneficiary institute for the conference.
