What programs are you promoting this Q1 2009?

Starting the year right is crucial considering the current unsteady economic situation. Choosing the right programs to campaign is important to insure profitable affiliate activities. For me, it is paramount to normally align my campaigns with the current trend and demand so I see to it that I review my campaigns from time to time.

A quarterly strategic program selection is usually what I do to keep myself abreast with most profitable programs on the market. This significantly increases my conversion prospects by running offers that currently being sought out by the consumers. I keep track of the major events on people’s calendar year round and align my campaign with the demand for these events. Red-letter days for my campaign are Valentine’s Day, Easter Season, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday/Cyber Monday and Christmas. These days usually spark increased online spending. Thus it is wise to keep these events into mind when running my campaign.

For the first quarter of the year, Valentine’s Day is obviously a marked holiday for me and most of the campaigns have been focused on this event. So to share with you the programs that I have been promoting as affiliate, see the list below (with the reasons why I have chosen to run them this first quarter of 2009):

  1. Grower Flowers: This is an obvious choice as flower spending sky-rockets during the Valentine’s Day. At AffiliateBOT, the program pays $12.50 per sale; and I can easily make a killing with this generous commission.
  2. NeverShaveAgain: Women are always bothered by unwanted hairs. The products is a medium-cost solution to this perennial women’s problem – making it an ideal gift item for spouses. What draws me is the generous of commission of 20% (the  average sale $100) which is offered only for a limited time. Also the product is a new program at Shareasale which means that I have less competition in promoting it.
  3. EosWireless: Obviously V-Day is not just for women, men like to receive gifts as well. After researching, I have found out that EosWireless Speaker for iPOD is a hot product for men; and with a high conversion ratio, clickthrough rate and EPC performance at Commission Junction, the program is an easy pick. The Eoswireless site is also a winner and sells itself to its audience. Even got a coupon code for myself by contacting the affiliate manager. The commission is set at 8% on average sales of $250.
  4. Men’s Gift for Less: This is another program currently offered at AffiliateBOT. The merchandize available are unique men gifts -including your favorite team (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NBA,NASCAR) logo gifts, Belt Buckles, Hip Flasks, Cigarette Cases, Blankets, Pillows & Throws, Wallets, Money Clips, Key Rings and other unique gifts that are not found anywhere else. The program rewards me 18% commission on sales.
  5. Grand Canyon Discount Tour: Research indicates that online travel is expected to grow big this 2009. So I decided I would not be left behind and promoted this new program at Google Affiliate Network. The program is providing discounted tours to Grand Canyon – Las Vegas which is a popular destination. Travel to this place is also peaking during January to March so this is also a good choice. In fact, I have already generated some transactions from this campaign. The commission offer is 5% which is industry high.
  6. Coral Calcium Planet: Another promising category in online marketing is the health sector. The newest buzz in health sector is the benefits of Coral Calcium. Robert Barefoot had made the discussions on its health benefit interesting making it a new nutrition sensation for 2009. I expect the demand and market to grow this first quarter so I am pitching it to my affiliate campaign. The program is running at Shareasale.com at 10% commission.
  7. Huntington Surf & Sport: I am also carrying over successful campaigns from the last quarter. This program had generated good revenue for my affiliate campaign so I am carrying over its promotion. The site features a huge selection of surfboards, skateboards, mens and womens apparel, surf accessories, sunglasses, footwear, wetsuits and more. It is offered at Google Affiliate Network giving out 8% commission on sales.
  8.  Robert Wayne Footwear: This is another of my top performing campaign from the last quarter. So I am bringing it over to Q1 to see if I can still generate the same success. The best sellers include Converse, Krocs, Heelys, Vans, DC, and Doc Martens – quite a good list of brands with good recall. It is offered at Google Affiliate Network giving out 15% commission on sales.

All the said programs are the major campaigns that I have been dedicating to promote at the moment. After making this shortlist, the next step is make sure that I have optimized my affiliate strategies according to this product list. Basically, I would come up with a campaign-matching articles/related news/ blogs, edit my meta tags accordingly, promote the links through various medium, do some PPC campaign, and soon enough commissions would come my way.

I will keep you posted on the progress of these campaigns. Keep reading and lets grow together.
