Online sales continue to be dominated by 3 industries. Apparel which accounts for $26.6 billion, computers at $23.9 billion and autos which accounts for $19.3 billion of online retail sales.

Online retailers generally allocate 50+% of their marketing budget to attract potential customers. Utilizing 21% of the budget in keeping the customers they get. Search engine AND affiliate marketing help keep existing and bring in new customers.

The convenience of shopping online is driving more people to purchase online. That and also the easy to find coupons, discounts and lower price research that can be found online is also a big factor in the growth of online retail sales.
