Google Image Ads placement in Image Search

Posted on 09 May 2008 in SEO and Search Engine Marketing by David Tan, Affiliate

Marissa Mayer informed Bloomberg Radio regarding an interest to put graphic display ads at Google's image search. There are alot of traffic at the image search that has yet to be monetized. Starting to put ads in these places, especially graphical ads is a good idea. There is alot of relevance if the image you display on the ad is similar to what is being searched for. What with Batman, Indiana Jones and Narnia movies coming out, placing ads that sells related merchandise would help generate some good CTRs.

It would work very well with celebrity type merchandise as these images get search alot.
