As affiliate manager, I meet a lot of affiliates who have been interested to take their campaigns to the next level BUT are limited by their budget and their limited web design ability. I was recently introduced to the Google Sites feature and I think this site addresses some of the basic needs for affiliates who have the above mentioned concerns.

With Google sites, you can minimize your web site building budget as it somes FREE. It is a tool that doesn’t require any web design or html knowledge to use it, plus there is not need to download it because it is an URL-based system.

Google sites enable you to create and host your own website using different page types: announcements, file cabinet, dashboard and lists among others; all this for free. You can also integrate other Google tools such as videos, docs, spreadsheets; and google analytics. To learn more about Google sites and how create one I am including a slideshow for you to get acquainted with the product itself.

In its current stage of development (June 2009), Google Sites offers the following features:

    * A web address of the form "http://sites.google.com/site/sitename/".
    * A limited number of themes (24 as of June 2009).
    * Limited use of HTML coding. CSS (cascading style sheets) cannot be incorporated in the theme templates.
    * Ability to insert:
          o Videos from Google Video/YouTube
          o Google Docs document
          o Google Calendar
