My Success In Gifting
Food for thought before you begin !
Anyone can be successful in any home-based business. Now don’t start fussing at me yet. It is just like anyone could become a cardiologist, but not everyone wants to go through all that studying. It is the same with a home-based business. There is no such thing as a home-based business where you don’t have to do anything and you still make tons of money. You ALWAYS have to do SOMETHING. The question is, are you willing to do what is necessary to make it happen?
MY PHILOSOPHY AND THE WAY I WORK.
Now that you have people in your down-line, now what do you do? Don’t fret; I will make it easy for you. Here are some things that you will need to do or make a decision on. P.S. “DOWNLINE” is referred instead of “Receiving Line”
· Know your products/services/business. YOU are the authority now.
· Time Management – you need to decide what hours you are willing to work with your
down-line.
· How do they contact you – phone, email, instant message, Skype, (VOIP)?
· Do you want to do any special type of trainings with your down-line – series of emails,
telephone conference calls, online conference rooms?
You need to know as much as you can about your business. Now, ‘you don’t have to know everything, as long as you know someone else that does.’ If you don’t know everything about your business yet, as long as you know someone else in the company that is accessible, then that is okay, for now.
What you can do is set certain hours that you will be available to your down-line. Maybe you say you are available between 2 PM – 9 PM your time zone. That way they know not to bother you before that time or after that time. You may even go so far as saying that you will return emails at 2 PM, 4 PM and 8 PM and return calls at 5 PM only. Remember, you are still building your business and learning so you need to be very conscience of your time. Trust me, your down-line can be very demanding if you don’t let them know when you are available. You set the rules.
Because of the Internet, your down-line can be anywhere in the world now! Isn’t that awesome! Being that you are the one making the rules, how do you want your down-line to contact you? Do you want them to contact you by phone? What phone number should they use, your house phone, a second phone or your cell phone? Do you want them to contact you by email? What email address should they use? I recommend that you get a separate email specifically for your down-line. That way their emails won’t get mixed up with your personal emails and all the other things that you get. Don’t forget to check that email address often. Do you want your down-line to contact you via Instant Message? Don’t forget to give them your ID. DO you want your down-line to contact you via Skype? Don’t forget to give them your ID. With Skype and IM, you will want to have a headset with microphone. With Skype, and with some IM’s, you can speak to your down-line, regardless of where in the world they are, without having to pay anything for it.
One thing you may want to do, maybe not in the very beginning, is to have weekly training calls within your group. That way you can train several at a one time. This can be something above and beyond what the company may do. It also brands you as a leader and people feel that they are with a powerful Sponsor. In the beginning, you may want to do some training one-on-one. There are places out there on the Internet where you can get your own telephone conference call line at no cost. Do your due diligence. Some are better than others. As things get even bigger, you may want to do your weekly team trainings in an online conference call room where there are both audio and video capabilities. Do your due diligence. Those can get quite expensive. To start with you may even do your trainings by a series of emails.
Just remember this, Sponsors are good at bringing people into a business and helping them to be successful. Recruiters are good at bringing people into a business, and then they disappear. By being a good Sponsor, you will build a reputation of being a good Sponsor, which is priceless. Live by the Golden Rule, ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ Be the type of Sponsor you would want to have.
Now that you have all the leads that you want for your business, what do you do next?
You can do one of two things.
1. You can send them an email and invite them to see your information.
2. You can call them and invite them to see your information.
You can just do email campaigns, and some people are successful with email campaigns. You just have to send out millions of emails to be successful that way. You will need to have an auto responder system, an email system to send out that many emails without having your regular email provider shutting you down for spamming, and you are going to need a very good supplier of leads. Lots and lots of leads will be needed.” Good luck
If you DO find one”!
You could just send out emails as the leads come to you, but remember; only a percentage of your leads will get you results. Typically you will only get less than 1% conversion from email to sign up/sale. You don’t know if your email ever got to the right person or even if the person ever opened your email up or did they delete it as junk mail. Not very good odds if you are sending them out one at a time. Better some than none though. This way is a passive way of promoting your business. When you are working passive ways of promoting any business, it will take more time, sometimes months, to see the results you are looking for.
On the other hand, if you call your prospect and invite them to see your information, your percentages are going to be increased significantly. You will then know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that your invitation was received. You spoke to your prospect. Having that person-to-person contact is great. You then spend just 30-45 seconds on the phone, you invite them to see your information, either a conference call, a flash presentation or a website. BAM! That’s it, that’s all! Except, where do you get leads that are interested in
your service/product? Logon to http://ezleadcapture.com/member/dan44.htm There, you
will only get prospects who ask you to call them for more info! What a Deal!!
Some companies will tell you that you need to build a relationship with your prospect. Hog Wash! Let me explain. Let’s say you get your prospect on the phone. Let’s say her name is Jane. So, you talk with Jane. You ask her some of the questions that your business has told you to ask her like; how much money do you have to invest, how much time do you have to invest, how much money do you want to make, etc. And you sit there and chat with her for 20 minutes. At the end of the 20 minutes you ask her if she would like to go to your call/flash site/web site and she says that it was a pleasure talking with you but she isn’t interested after all. You have just wasted 20 minutes that you will never get back, and guess what, you will probably never speak to Jane again. So all that ‘relationship building’ is bunk. Instead, if you only spend 30-45 seconds on the phone with a prospect, you would be able to ask more people in one hour than if you wasted your time spending 20 minutes each.
Okay, so you have got your lead, you have contacted them and invited them to see your information about your business. Now, how do you close the deal?
First, let me tell you this. What you really are doing is trying to show your prospect that you have the solution to a problem they are having. If what you have to offer them isn’t going to help them, then back away and don’t waste your time. If it isn’t a win-win situation, where everyone wins, then it is a bad deal. That’s why NOSS is very lucrative.
In most businesses they will tell you that when you have a prospect, that has questions, you should do a 3-way with your Sponsor or someone else in the business who can do the close for you. If you are still new to your business, do this. When the ‘Closer’ comes on the line for you, you close your mouth and listen. You will hear how they do the close so you can eventually do the closes for yourself. You may need to hear 5 – 10 closes before you get it, maybe even more. Don’t feel bad.
I know that I told you before that you don’t want to do any ‘relationship building’ when you do your invitation calls. Here is where you start to do some relationship building. You ask questions. Remember this too, LISTEN!!! With the questions that you should be asking, the answers will tell you how to proceed. They will tell you ways on how to effectively close the deal for your prospect.
You need to ask your prospect, “Wasn’t that call/flash site/web site awesome? What did you like most about it?’ LISTEN!!! They will tell you what they liked and that is ammo for you later.
You may ask them how do they ‘feel’ about what they saw/heard. Never ask them what they ‘think’. You want to keep it as ‘feel’. You know how you ‘feel’ without having to ‘think’ about it.
Remember, if what you are promoting is not something that will solve a problem they are having, you are wasting your time.
People do not want to be ‘sold’, they want to ‘buy’, so don’t push it. You are just there to help them to make an informed decision about your product/service/business. That’s all.
The most common objections that people have are:
· I don’t have the money.
· I don’t have the time.
· I need to speak to my spouse.
Some of the times these objections are real, but most of the time it’s just fear. They are afraid that they can’t do it and they will lose money. Oh, don’t forget, they are afraid that their spouse will fuss at them about trying another business that is going to cost more money. Let’s get real, most of us in home-based businesses have lost money along the way, but we have learned.
Again, you are there to help them to make an informed decision about your product/service/business. If you have to drag them into your business, then you are going to have to drag them to do anything and in the end they will just drop out and you would have wasted your time.
The better you are at closing techniques, the more sales/sign-ups you will have for your business. When people buy/sign-up, what they really are buying is you. They trust you. Now is when you need to step up to the plate and be a good Sponsor.
· Thankfulness for what we have.
· Seeing family members, the positive and negatives.
· Did we get everyone a gift yet?
· Holiday Parties to go to or give.
· And what about your New Years’ Resolutions.
As most of us have a home based business, or would like to have one, now is the time to think about what you REALLY do want from your business. Ask yourself, ‘why am I working my home based business?’ What do you want? What are your goals? What goals do you have set for next week, month, Year?
We have time now to re-evaluate what our goals are that we are setting for ourselves. Ask yourself, what do I really want? Take a few minutes in a quite place and ask yourself that. What do you really want? It could be anything from a few hundred dollars extra a month to a new home or a dream vacation for your family. What would you really want? Once you have that goal set, get pictures of it and set them around your home, office and car. Look at them often. Picture yourself there already. How does it feel to have already accomplished that goal? Feel it.
Now, ask yourself, what are you willing to do? Now, I am not asking you to do anything illegal, immoral and hurtful. Yet, what are you willing to give up to accomplish that goal?
Are you willing to give up watching CSI or Monday Night Football so you can spend that time working on your business? Are you willing to give up buying that coffee from the coffee shop and making it at home instead? Are you willing to learn new skills that may seem difficult at first? Are you willing to move outside your ‘comfort zone’ and learn something new, like Marketing or using the phone effectively? How badly do you want your goal? Some people phrase it as, ‘what is your why’ as in, why are you working your business.
As you wind down your year, ask yourself those questions. What do I really want and what am I willing to do to get that? When the New Year begins, you will be ready to hit the ground running with your business because now you have purpose instead of just floating around with it.
Any business is accomplishable, you just have to put time, money and effort. Anyone CAN be successful, yet not everyone WILL. You just have to CHOSE to be SUCCESSFUL and work through it. NEVER GIVE UP and you will be part of the 5% of people who make money with their home-based business. “Do now what others won’t, later you can do what others can’t.”
GETTING MY WEBSITE SEEN AND MARKETED
Marketing your website out there on the big, bad web is a lot easier than you think. It does take longer to get the results you are after if all you are doing is building your business passively, but passively is good too.
Marketing is also how you build your business the passive way. Personally, I think that people who are building their business proactively should also do marketing. That way, they can be proactive and get people into their business now, and as they are doing their marketing, they will start getting people into their business without having to do any extra work down the road.
Marketing is how you will get your business, your website, out there on the Internet and in front of people, online and offline. There are plenty of ways of marketing, some more effective than others. Some ways will be free, and some will cost you money.

What I would first suggest is, what do you have for an advertising budget? Be reasonable and realistic. I am not telling you that you must have hundreds of dollars a month to spend on advertising. If you can comfortably afford it, fantastic, if not, you can work with that too. Secondly, how much time do you have to market your business, on a daily or weekly basis? Some of the above mentioned methods you can do without a cost, yet it will take some of your time.
