Watching videos is going strong, considering that US Internet Users watched over 10 billion videos online during the month of February.

3.42 billion of these videos was watched in Youtube. It's followed by Fox Interactive, Yahoo Sites, Microsoft Sites and ABC.com.

We know that google is testing video ads on youtube videos and video ads on their search results. Googles has this kind of viewership (81.8 million), and a 35.4% of the video viewing market share compared to the NEAREST competitor of only 55.7 million from Fox Interactive. Who will grow faster? I believe it will be Google with it's youtube growth.

There's a jump of 66 percent since last year of videos viewed.

Letting people post their own videos helps alot in the case of youtube. Still, viewership loyalty ain't that strong for youtube and anything can happen, if they start putting up ads and videos ads or what not. Different than Fox with it's millions of loyal viewers and fans of it's tv shows and series. Right now youtube's loyalty comes from the fact that it's free, familiar and famous.
