For users familiar with Google Reader, you would be delighted to know that there are now new features that would facilitate the task of sharing contents posts through a variety of social media, blogging, and bookmarking websites. Specifically, the “Send To” feature will let you simultaneously send all of your shared items to the services you select such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, or Digg. Your shared information will automatically be sent to those services fastracking the process.
To activate this feature, just head over to the settings page, and enable the services you want to use. If your favorite service isn't listed, you can create your own "Send to" link with a URL template.
For those new to Google Reader, this service started out as a RSS feed readers and evolved into a social tool to find blogs and other content relevant to you or a specific topic you’re passionate about. Conversely, this is also a great tool tool if you are want other people in the same interest to find you.
Some people are dubbing Google Reader as the first social newsreader which actually makes sense to me as Google Reader new features lets you follow other people, subscribing to their shared items, in much the same way you might "friend" someone on Facebook. If you are intent on building your social network, I would recommend that you start to using Google Reader now to stay ahead of the pack.
