Call to Action In Your Affiliate Links
Call to Action
Many affiliate marketers have pinned their hope for revenue on the banners/links that they have posted on their site. This is fine as long as they have been choosing the right banner to place on their site. Inasmuch as there are several factors for a link to attract an action from the web traffic, the concept of Call to Action is still the prevalent factor on the many conversions achieved by successful affiliates.
So what does Call to Action mean?
Call to Action is the ability of your ads to persuade your traffic to click on the it and convert this action into leads or sales. The most common phrase used is 'Click Here'. But 'Click Here', as many experts assert, falls short of the persuasive element to call your traffic to action. You need to provide additional motivation as to why a person would click the banner. To push your traffic to call to action, you need to provide a motivational word as to why they should click the banner. In other words, your ads should be able to state briefly these nagging consumer questions: What's in it for me? Why would I click it? Why should I bother to click it? What are the benefits of checking this ads? What do you offer that I should click it?
More experienced marketers are now appending more information into the "Click Here". Here are some of the example:
'Click to join!'
'Click to get free trial!'
'Click to become an elite member!'
'Click to win!'
'Click to buy!'
'Click to save!'
The power of suggestive information is supplying your audience's consciousness with reason as to why they should act upon your ads. With the multifarious ads available online, this kind of suggestive information gives the mind the data it requires to make an action. For many, this had meant better conversion and ultimately additional rewards for their affiliate campaigns.
In larger scale, this is discussed in content management circle as the Information Architechture. Information Architechture is the phrase marketing experts use to cite the significance of Call to Action concept in online marketing. You need to have a blue print of what your site what to do and achieve. Once you have identified this you can go ahead and figure out who your audiences are going to be. Once that's out of the way, you can start organizing your future site into pages of content and functions that the site will need to have. Your ads placement would then play a crucial part in this blue print as you will need to choose significant ads that would be an integral part of your site. Coupled with a good call to action phrase, you would eventually see conversions going your advertising campaigns.
I would be discussing Information Architechture probably on my succeding blogs so for now its best that you review your ads and see if it has the elements of a good Call to Action phrase. If not, its time to pull this down and replace it with a better ads; and do take time to see if the product you are campaigning match up with your site content and objective.
